New sales openings this week: Oct 27 to Nov 3

725 new sales roles opened this week. 395 are AE, 146 are AM, 105 are SE and 79 are SDR.

667 closed over the same week, so the net is +58. Plenty is moving, but the board itself barely grew.

Databricks posted the most. 28 new roles, 25 of them AE. Most of those are outside the US though, places like Seoul, Singapore and Toronto, and only 3 of the 28 list pay.

Stripe added 22, and every one is AE. Most are overseas too, and none of them show a pay range on our end.

After those two it's Snowflake with 17, Zscaler with 15, and Datadog, Samsara and n8n with 14 each. n8n is the one I'd watch. They went from 7 open sales roles to 18 in a week. Amplitude did something similar, 6 to 15.

Toast is the odd one. They still have the most open sales roles of anyone at 205, and they added 12 this week, but they closed more than that and ended down 13. Process Street went from 20 to 6.

Clera would show up near the top with 25 new roles, but their board went from 33 to 30. That looks a lot more like reposting than hiring, so I left them out.

Rewind started hiring sales this week. Expel, Kustomer, Lattice, Melio, Pencil, SimSpace and Transmit Security went from some open sales roles to none.

On pay, 45% of the new roles list a range. The whole board is at 50%, so what's opening right now is a little worse than what's already up.

So if you're looking, the companies above are where it's moving. Check the pay before you take the first call.

How I counted: "new" means the role is up on Nov 3 and wasn't in our Oct 27 snapshot as a sales role, on the 783 company boards we could read both days. That also catches a few roles whose title changed into AE, SDR, SE or AM, and roles that got taken down and reposted. Leadership roles aren't in the 725. Company counts and the pay share use a stricter version of the same count (709 roles that weren't on the board at all a week ago), so they can be off by a few from the totals up top.
