What's a good SDR OTE in 2026?
By Charles Heitmuller · · 2 min read
Under $82K OTE is low for an SDR. $108K or more is top of the market.
That's what companies are posting right now (Oct 30, 2026). The median OTE is $93K and the middle half runs from $82K to $108K. That's 164 postings.
The median base is $65K, and the middle half is $59K to $73K (112 postings). For SDRs base is most of the check, about 70% of OTE at the median. Only 39 postings list both, so treat that as rough.
City moves it. NYC posts a median OTE of $102K with a $75K base. The Bay Area is $100K OTE and $71K base. Austin is $85K OTE and $60K base. So NYC is about $9K above the overall median, the Bay Area about $7K above, and Austin about $8K under. Boston doesn't have enough postings to say.
A few companies stand out, but each is only 3 to 5 postings, so that's what they tend to post, not a promise. EliseAI is at $109K, MaintainX $92K, Fivetran and Miter $90K, Okta $82K, Samsara $64K, OpenGov $60K and Verkada $58K.
Only 43% of SDR roles post a pay range at all (431 of 1,012). If a posting doesn't show one, ask for it on the first call.
If your offer is under $82K, how many SDRs on the team hit quota last quarter?
How I counted: 1,012 open SDR and BDR roles at 420 companies on OTE Radar, pulled Oct 30. Of the 431 with a pay range, 336 are USD annual, and those are what the medians come from. Each range counts at its midpoint, and a role posted in several cities counts once. 74 ranges don't say base or OTE, so they're left out of both.
